Sunx Energy is progressing towards the efficient culturing and harvesting of Algae Oil for Biodiesel on production scale. Algae culturing and harvesting represents a major emerging technology in the Biodiesel industry - this feedstock has the ability to provide a massive source of feedstock oil without sacrificing agricultural land. Algae has the unique ability to double it's biomass on a daily basis and can therefore be harvested as such. Traditional biodiesel feedstocks are harvested seasonally or annually.

Our First Phase Algae Initiative is completed with a feasibility study and the development of a viable manufactured growth and harvesting solution. We are pleased to announce the Second Phase rollout of our Algae Production Initiative with the development of an Algae culturing and harvesting lab. We have had a great initial start to the program with an immediate success in the testing and optimizing of growth rates in a controlled environment. The lab is being developed in stages, which will include further culturing studies, the development of harvesting methods and efficient scalability models.
